Personal Update
A few months ago, as I was planning next steps after I knew I’d be returning in early June from teaching yoga in Thailand, I decided to book myself into an Airbnb in the mountains of Ticino, Switzerland.
My goal was two-fold: 1) run trails daily to get my trail legs back in shape to race an ultra marathon on June 10th 2) create quiet space to write, blogs and parts of two new book projects. I’ve always wanted a little writer’s escape cabin, so this was a test to see if I would actually write in this setting!
Well, the best laid plans comes to mind, as I managed to break a toe the first morning of the trip, thus ending my racing plans in the near term. My toe will heal, and I’ll find new races to run, so no worries there. As for the writing, that’s gone very well, plus the house owner loaned me an Alphorn, so I’m happy to have the combo I love of music and mountains.
