Personal Update
Adventure: I continued swimming through the winter in Switzerland, pushing into new territory with my first breaking-through-ice swim. Such an incredible experience and one I wouldn’t have thought possible (nonetheless enjoyable) a year ago. I’m 100% looking forward to warmer spring and summer water temps though!
Yoga Retreats: If you’re in Europe and would like to join me for a yoga retreat, my next one is at the wonderful hotel & spa La Réserve Genève, from March 22nd-24th and April 12-14 in Geneva.
Learning languages: Learning German has been a big focus of mine for much of the past 10+ years, especially the last 5. Now that my German is at a good level, I decided to revisit French, a language I “studied” as a teenager, but never learned to actually speak. The most effective way I learned German was in a homestay immersion course in Bamberg, Germany. So, I’ve taken the same approach with French and am just finishing a weeklong immersion in Nyon, Switzerland. These immersion courses can be so frustrating and humbling, but the feeling of quickly learning another language and connecting with people in that language is priceless! I highly recommend it.
